Results!

Today was a pretty good day.  I woke up this morning and weighed in at 319.  So since I have really been watching portions and things (even though some days are better than others) I have been able to lose 11 pounds.  I realize that this is going to be a long journey.  I wish that it would just fall off over night.  You know the more I think about it, how awesome would that be?  Anyway back to reality.  I am really enjoying my new lifestyle.  I don’t miss drinking soft drinks.  I hope that all of you are doing well tonight.  If you want to join on this bandwagon with me let me know and we can all get healthy together!

See ya soon,

David

Being sick is no Fun!

For the last couple of days I have been sick.  It has been no fun either.  But as far as a diet goes being sick is pretty good.  Well maybe not!  But I have been eating less and that is what I need to do all the time.  Portion control is my main problem, I eat pretty healthy foods.  Lots of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, water and tea no sodas (although I had some sprite yesterday becasue I felt so bad).  I usually do good during the day with my portions at breakfast and lunch with a small snack around 3-3:30 but dinner is a different story for some reason.  I hope that I can continue with this new way of eating (smaller portions).  I took another step today, Maria and I bought salad plates today.  This is what we are going to start eating on from now on.  This is one way that we are going to get our portions in control.  Thanks for reading and encouraging me on this journey, hopefully I will feel good enough to get in a workout.  I will let you know tomorrow!

It’s harder than it seems!

The one thing that I just can’t seem to overcome is the fact that I eat really good during the day ie. breakfast, lunch and a snack then I have a pretty crappy dinner.  Not all mights but a few this week that should have been better.  I know this is not a good reason but I am getting my CDL so that I can drive a bus woohoo!  But the district fed us and of course they are not concerned with nutrition so it was not a healthy meal.  But I have been eating out for dinner alot this week and I need to stop!  I will do better this week and if not please reach through the computer and slap me!  Thanks for supporting me.

See ya soon,

David

A New Me!

Hello all of my friends,

I am going to use this blog as a daily journal (hopefully) on my weight loss journey.  I have to do something about my weight.  I have been doing a program recently with Maria but now that the whole world can see this it will give me some motivation to do better.  I will be importing this blog onto my facebook account also.

My goal is to lose around 90-100 pounds.  Yes I know a little dramatic.  But I think that I will feel a whole lot better if I do.  Since I have started coaching I want to be an example of living a healthy lifestyle to my athletes and at 330 lbs how can I be that.  Yikes! did I really say 330 lbs?  Yes people I did.  That is why I would hope that you join me in this life changing event.  I will need your encouragement to do this and I will try my darndest to keep this updated.

You can leave comments and advice here or on my facebook page.  I look forward to doing this in front of the entire world!  If that isn’t enough motivation then I don’t know what is!

Talk to you real soon,

David

Google reader

One thing that I have just recently been introduceed to is google reader.  I have added subscriptions to five different blogs.  Out of the five that I chose, four of them have updated posts.  The one that did not update happens to be some friends of ours.  What I really like about the google reader is that I don’t have to visit five different blogs to see if they have posted anything new.    I think that I will be using google reader more often now that I can keep up with many different typs of blogs.

Here are the five blogs that I subcribed to:
